Phil has spent three decades in multi-national Fortune 1000 companies in OEM semiconductor and other technology products. A dual national of the United Kingdom and the United States, Phil has worked for Thorn, Alcatel, DeLa Rue and General Electric in the UK, and Tegal Corp and Applied Materials in the United States.
As an independent strategic consultant, Phil has successfully contracted with major companies and established a technology startup, expanded Small Medium Enterprises in vacuum technology and written financial and marketing plans for a fast food manufacturing start-ups, as well as advisory services to various technology, medical, manufacturing and other industries in either start-up, business expansion or development mode.
He specializes in the technical service support operations and supply chain covering aftermarket service support operations, gathering competitive intelligence, e.g. competition, inter company relations across disciplines as well as complementors, comparative and competitive (resource) advantages. Also in business strategy concentrating on developing a competitive advantage.
He earned his MBA from the University of Liverpool and wrote his thesis on ‘the effects of formal and informal institutions on business negotiations’. He believes in continued education and recently earned certified strategic studies from both Cornell and Harvard Universities in competitive advantage, measuring and improving business performance and disruptive strategy.
