Marianne Constans

Marianne is a self-motivated and committed professional who drives business best practices and delivers results through relationship building and leadership. Highly organised, confident and determined to succeed. She has a partnership-orientated, open-minded and customer-focused attitude with a passion to make a difference.

Marianne is French and relocated to the UK in 2012 to join Imperial Brands PLC as part of the talent and leadership development team. After a few different roles she acted as an intrapreneur to push the diversity and inclusion agenda forward into the business, which led her to become a full time D&I manager. During the same period she joined two entrepreneur programmes – one in Bristol and one in Paris – where she developed key competencies such as building a business case, pitching to senior leaders, analysing the needs, influencing, etc. She worked hard to get her vision around an inclusive culture becoming a reality. In 1,5 years she managed to get D&I on the business agenda and put in place a 6 months action plan including a flexible working policy, unconscious bias training sessions, career talks, a community of diversity champions and HR thinking days. Today, the project is still run internally following the foundations put in place initially.

Marianne is now working freelance as a Diversity & Inclusion consultant and as a writer. She is currently co-writing a book on social intrapreneurship, to be published at the end of the year. She also enjoys sharing her experience as an intrapreneur or her expertise on D&I by attending conferences as a keynote speaker or through networking events.

Marianne describes herself as an eternal optimist who thrives on challenges and wants to make life fun. On her free time, Marianne is passionate about film-making, cycling and learning everyday.
